The gap was not one of intent, it was one of infrastructure. That observation came from within. As part of the SSMNT Group, we spent over two decades working at the intersection of industry and environment, supporting organisations through Environmental Clearances, Impact Assessments, and accredited monitoring services. That ground-level exposure gave us something most ESG consultancies lack an understanding of how businesses actually operate, not just how they report. As ESG moved from voluntary ambition to boardroom responsibility, the limitations of conventional consulting became evident. Organisations needed more than advisory input. They needed structured frameworks embedded into governance, operations, and decision-making, frameworks that could be measured, tracked, and improved over time. Sustera Global was established as the focused ESG practice of SSMNT, built precisely for this purpose.
